Role & responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors courteously and professionally in person and by phone.
  • Register new patients: collect demographic & contact details; create patient records / OPD cards / unique ID (UHID or hospital-specific ID); update existing patient data.
  • Schedule, confirm, reschedule or cancel appointments based on doctor/department availability.
  • Collect payments from patients (cash/ card / other modes) when applicable.
  • Handle billing procedures generate bills/invoices, attach bills to claim/preauthorization forms if applicable.
  • Ensure timely reporting / documentation e.g. for admissions, discharges, patient counts, billing/claims, cash collections.

 

Preferred candidate profile :

  • Education: Graduate with BSc / MSc preferred.
  • Prior experience: 1-3 years in hospital front-office / reception / administration preferred; freshers with good communication and basic computer knowledge may also be considered.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills; polite, empathetic and patient-friendly demeanor.
  • Basic computer literacy familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and preferably hospital information / patient-management software.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by hospital operations.
  • Excellent typing speed and data-entry proficiency (accurate and reasonably fast)
